A Zoo Story Evaluation
Although I believe my play to have been a success for many reasons, there are also many reasons why I feel it wasn't as good as it could've been. There were many complications during the rehearsal procedure which impeded me and my partners ability to work on certain aspects of the production.
Both during and after the show me and my partner received positive reactions from the audience, the use of a minimalistic set kept the audience focused and engaged on the play, the quiet chirping of birds and wind breezing also retained the feeling that we were in a park. My partner and i chose to have an image of a park on the background to further reiterate the outside feeling but sadly a member of the tech crew had failed to display the image of the park behind us somewhat losing the immersive feeling of the play.
As previously mentioned there were a few things that i felt made the play not as good as it could've been, such as the lack of the image on the background. This ultimately was down to not having enough time to rehearse in the theatre with the technical production students, as there were so many shows that required the room to rehearse and do tech. Another complication then arose from this, we had little time to find costume for our characters, the props we needed and the benches that the whole play was centralised around, having literally the day before to do a full run through with all tech. I felt as if having more time to rehearse with the tech students would have helped the production run smoothly and given me and my partner a better sense of the show we had envisioned.

As discussed before with my partner the use of a red flash whilst stabbing him was captivating to the audience and made it seem more dramatic. This was further shown when all the audience members gasped.
Audience Survey and Feedback - My Brother
Overall I felt I provided an enjoyable play that was fun to watch and provided a story that was captivating to the audience.
